NTAG203 vs NTAG213 Comparision

The NTAG213 chip was designed as a replacement for the NTAG203. It can be used as a direct replacement but also contains some additional features such as password protection and ECC based originality check.

The NTAG203 was the first of the NTAG series of chips from NXP. When the NTAG213 was released, NXP also released a number of other variants including the NTAG216, NTAG215, NTAG212 and NTAG210. The cut-down featured version of the NTAG210, the NTAG210micro was launched at a later date.

The NTAG213 is a very common NFC chip and can be found in a very wide range of NFC tags and products. Availability, performance and reliability are all excellent.
