NFC drinks brands starting to pour in
This release joins a growing number of drinks companies such as Malibu adding NFC tags to their products. What is interesting is that this isn’t the first time that Rémy Cointreau have added NFC tags to their bottles, having done it back in 2015 with their Rémy Martin NFC connected bottle. One of primary differences between then and now is that the focus in 2015 was on authenticity, whereas now it’s very clearly being positioned as a marketing/user interaction strategy.
